By Sydney Beard

Science has often been used to solve criminal mysteries that have not always been easy to unearth through the normal investigation. In fact currently the use of science to solve answer many legal queries and solve many criminal issues that would rather be trivial to solve is referred to as forensic science.

Forensic science is a science that has been changing since its inception around the 212BC and ranges in scope involving the application of natural scientific techniques and procedures to be bale to disclose certain legal and criminal activities.

Many people refer to it as forensics since forensic science appears as a very long phrase to be used. In fact forensics is used when you want to indicate issues that are legit, legally binding or pertaining to the courts.

This has made new dictionaries being developed to relate this term with the original name i.e. forensic science to mean the same thing

Forensics or forensic science was specifically used in the Roman Empire where both the defendant and the person who was being accused came with convincing evidence regarding a specific issue

So whoever between the accuser who is the defendant and the person being accused who is the perpetrator provided enough evidence in regard to a specific reason as to why he/she was being accused managed to win the case just like the way normal court operates.

Another branch that uses forensics to gather evidence to gather evidence is the crime scene investigation (CSI). It mainly involves gathering enough physical and material evidence from the crime scene putting them up together so that you can be able to come up with a convincing story or a case that is going to hold in court and enable you win the case by exposing the acts of the perpetrator.

Forensic science which encompasses the CSI is a field that vastly utilizes the knowledge of science to solver many mysteries.
