A bit of the latch that holds the batteries broke before I possibly could mount the patio string lights.
They provide light for both stairs coming to the deck and work perfectly. Super easy to install while offering all of the safety of the standard light with no expense. Extremely flimsy item.
I'll purchase more of this merchandise! I have my light mounted close to my door and pointed straight at the door handle but when my foot hits my front steps the light comes on. It really works better than anticipated. I believe if I wanted something to last well into the future I would have invested more, but you never know? After I stop comparing the brightness and coverage to the old halogen flood light, I will most likely give it five stars instead of four. At the present cost I am not sure I could have made that expense. They arrived well packaged, with all of hardware for easy set up. These lights had been a lot better than I was expecting. These lights evidently replace an earlier item that was comparable, since entering that previous merchandise stock number brings up these lights. Ordered a couple of them after testing out my neighbor's Dorcy unit. I'm very pleased with it.
The movement sensor on the patio string lights is much less sensitive than I'd like, but extremely acceptable nevertheless. They're very attractive and appear to be simple to install. These lights are blinding to us. Have two set outside coops and one inside. I could not find anything else like this from the supply. I installed it on side of house were its dark,this small movement detection lights up that corner good enough to see somebody.
It only worked dusk to dawn, so I called Heath Zenith and I was told that the light is damaged. After I requested exchange, I would have to pay for shipping it back again. Older design bulbs fit with no issues but the florescent bulbs I put in these were a good match.
Removed the old light and re-used the wiring.

I was searching for a replacement outdoor flood light with movement detection. Most outdoor flood lights offered are unattractive looking floods, but this one looks fantastic and does the job (this isn't a flood light).
