Material is primary thing which not only determines the overall cost of your door but it also impacts on the average life of your door. Steel is one of the most used metals which are reliable as well as very economical in nature. Steel door can last for longer period of time and that too without any extra insulation or protection.

There is one drawback associated with steel that it has a limited variety in looks and it is less preferred only due to this factor. In recent few years, there are some innovative wooden textures been introduced in steel which have compensated this drawback to some extent.

There are more reliable metals than steel but these also face the same problem of less aesthetic beauty. You should make your material choice according to the weather conditions because if you depended upon the aesthetic looks of your door then, it may happen that you end up with a door which will not even last throughout the year. If you follow the above procedure and take all of the above factors into considerations then, you will have a very reliable material for your garage door.
