These can include continuous injury to the head, infections of the brain, a side-effect of another mental condition and/or disease, dehydration, lack of vitamin B in the body, and/or brain tumor.

The symptoms are various however there are certain signs which are common across all four forms. These are: problems sleeping, confusion, memory difficulties, concentration difficulties, movement difficulties, depression, hallucinations, and depression. Individuals suffering from the frontotemporal type may show some aggressive and compulsive behaviour accompanying the personality change.
