Some red wines are best served with the big bowl wine glass because the shape of the glass allows the wine to swirl, and thus lets the aroma accumulate.

Although there is no clear explanation, many experts say that wines that have traveled should be given adequate rest time, in order for them to reveal their full potential. Wine that is immediately opened and served after traveling usually tastes dull and boring.

There is no strict guideline on how food and wine should be paired, but many people have an awful wine drinking experience because of not being to pair wine with the right food. The simple solution is to take time to experiment on various food and wine pairings and choose the pair that suits your preference best.
