Get Top Dollar When You Sell Your Truck

Ask any car dealer or sale rep and they will tell you without a doubt that given two identical vehicles that the cleaner vehicle will sell faster and for a higher price (and profit to you) than the identical car in not as careful or even dismal shape. Marketing It seems and basic sales concepts and applications are not universally accepted used or understood it seems. So why not take a little care to be the shiny apple that sells their vehicle online faster and for more cash in your wallet and pocket.

The story is told of a promising young auto and auto finance sales rep who wanted to put up a spicier online catalog of his vehicles that was offered by his firm online. After much kowtowing and even begging he got permission. The auto sales guy hired a local guru - actually a kid with a father who knew something about online marketing. What happened in the end? The father and son team were chased off the lot by the other salespeople on the lot when they went to take photos. The enterprising sales rep decided he could only use the commercially taken professional photos that the firm used online and even paid dearly for. What was the final result? When the actual owner of the firm (not the stooge pretend owner) saw the results of the firm's auto pictures on the new online site his comment was "Why are the photos shaded?" Who on earth would come to the dealership to buy these vehicles with those photos as bait on the ads? Whom indeed? Its not as if its one big fiesta in the sun out there . Never mind anyone being attracted what so ever for servicing of their new or nearly new vehicle whether it be for an oil change , a brake job or routine tire inspection and replacement.

The point is look at and evaluates your competition to sell you vehicle - either online or in newspaper ads. If the professionals who sell cars in 2010 cannot in many cases even present a good ad then you are in the drivers seat when it comes to listing ,selling and giving potential customers a wonderful first impression when they come calling to evaluate and hopefully purchase your car , truck or Sports Utility Vehicle that is on sale.

When a serious buyer comes along, the objective is to exhibit your car's best qualities. Clean the vehicle thoroughly and inside out. Get the car washed including the upholstery and ensure that the rugs are vacuumed. Don't forget to empty the ash trays. Windows and the windshield must be cleaned thoroughly because when a buyer gets inside a car with clean windows, the eyes get tricked into thinking that the car is more spacious than it actually is. The car should look like its well taken care of.

An increase of $50 can be added to the price of the car when it is waxed. Don't be tempted to repaint the car. Many buyers assume that this type of work is done to cover up recently repaired smashup. Damaged or torn upholstery, floor mats, and worn pedal covers must be replaced. This must be done in advance because brand new covers indicate that the old ones have been worn out. The conclusion is the car has very high mileage because it was often used.
