How To Write Real Supernatural Stories

By Janis Hickman

Anyone who aspires to be a writer would have to choose the kind of genre they would like to be writing about. It is common for most writers to concentrate on a genre where their expertise would lie in. You can find writers that are into romantic comedies, science fiction, thrillers, fantasy, and real supernatural stories.

For people who are very interested in anything related to the paranormal, it is a good idea to write stories about it. Some writers would create a story based on popular urban legends. There are some, however, that prefer to write a horror story that actually happened to another person during a certain time.

Writing stories about people who have experienced something paranormal in their life is challenging. The challenge lies in presenting a story that someone can consider as true. The most important thing that you have to do to deal with the challenge is to look for good material that you can use.

While gather material from those who have experienced the supernatural, there is one thing that you have to consider. You should be able to prove that the story came from someone who you can consider a reliable source. Never write a story unless you have checked the background of your source.

Once you have the material that you need, make sure that you will not deviate from the original story. Do not make the mistake of adding some twists to the story just to make it longer or more interesting. Chances are you will just overdo it and the material will only sound really fake.

If possible make yourself more credible by putting information that will help make readers believe what they are reading. The most effective way to do so is by putting the name of your source, the date the story happened, and the location. Do not forget to ask the permission of your subject before including any of their information.

One of the best ways to make a story more interesting is to use pictures and other things that you can use as evidence. You can include in your book a picture of a place, or a copy of the document. Use anything that will help prove that the story did happen.

Making use of real supernatural stories is going to be a good topic for you. There are so many people who find this kind of topic interesting. When writing this, keep it simple yet captivating.
