Who could have thought that day would arrive when making a television didn't require any technical experience and can be completed in just a few minutes? And, who could have thought that it would be possible to watch favorite programs on the net? Probably not very many but with the arrival of Internet-ready televisions and mobile devices that came after computers, each individual can watch what they want from any location in or out of the home.

To make this happen only requires a Windows laptop or desktop computer with a broadband Internet connection and that is all there is to get access to unlimited free content from the internet. Because computers already have multimedia and video applications, making a TV on PC system is as straightforward as walking down the street.

Nothing more is required so the time frame to create such a system can be attained very quickly. Search the Web, there are all kinds of free TV shows, sports, videos, movies, news, and other free media to view on a desktop or laptop PC.

Individuals from all walks of life, wherever they're from, can connect to channels from their native land easily when knowing where to look online.

Of course, there are other methods to watch programs online when using hardware, software and devices but they're not needed to create a system like this.

As the Net continues to saturate itself with popular content from all over the world with broadband becoming faster, more folks will will be inclined to look to the Internet as another option for watching television.

What's also nice is having the ability to watch television on the go. A laptop with access to Web media content creates a TV traveling companion that anybody can take to on a trip, to college or work.

The Net will add tons of free-to-air channels and unlimited content to watch on the web. This also adds greater variation, eliminates watching reruns and missing tops channels sports/matches etc.

People who speak two or more languages or learning a new language may benefit too. There are tons of TV shows from across the world (over 200 countries). Some of this content could be blocked out by certain countries, but utilizing utilizing a VPN service can work around this and give access to the blocked content.

Considering that Cable and Satellite services don't offer a la carte TV programming, tons of worldwide channels and low subscription fees, there's another option out there that can save costs and add a lot more content that beats having to watch the same old shows. Web TV is just another option to consider that offers some unique benefits.

Creating an extra TV on the fly without any cost is definitely something to explore further. But more importantly, any person can create their own Web television system with a la carte programming that consist of free and paid content.
