Tree changers and those looking for a piece of the South-West agenda have promoted quiet achiever Donnybrook to the lead spot in the area for annual expansion.
Situated betwixt Boyanup and Kirup along the South Western Hwy a mere 210km south of Perth, Donnybrook is the hub of apple production in WA.
Angela Murphy, licensee of Summit Realty South West, Donnybrook branch, expounded market trends in the region saw new migrants coming to the town from all over, including the UK, South Africa and Sweden.
"Properties on 0.2ha with all of the services in place are being sold with a dwelling on it in the $400,000s tempting people for a change in lifestyle/retirees", Ms Murphy recounted.
"First house purchasers looking at coming to the market are purchasing blocks from 911sq m to 1012sq m from $79,000 and up.
"There's alot on offer from building companies at the moment which is making building a tasty prospect".
Ms Murphy related other options also included purchasing an older type property in the $260,000 region on 1012sq m block or probably an existing 3x1 brick and tile on 1800 sq m block backing on to state reserve. She said 2.02ha and 1.01ha blocks were in demand with not many available for sale at moment.
Being central in the South-West tourism belt - With scenery round the Preston Brook - had helped the suburb's performance.
