Vienna Is Awash With Culture

Vienna Austria is famous for its history in art, music and culture. Our best musical composers ever have come from this town as also did Professor Freud, the famous dream interpreter. A different name for the city is city of dreams due to Professor Freud. Global Organizations have been coming to Vienna for many years to debate their needs . Organizations such as OPEC and the United Nations frequent the city. The historical centre is chock-full of benchmarks with significant castles and gardens.

The capital city in Austria is Vienna. It rests on the Danube Brook, which continues through surrounding border countries. Vienna is accountable for one quarter of the whole of Austria's population. The flag is often known as one of the oldest flags in the world and dates back to the crusades.

This bustling town has produced many famous musical composers. Brahms and Beethoven, Strauss and Mozart all came from or came here to study and work on music. Vienna's heart and soul will always be part of these composers who gave us such wonderful music.

Hofburg is Vienna's Imperial Palace. It was first a medieval castle, but later was a grand residence of the Habsburgs reign. It's now a National Library and showcases a collection of special musical instruments and weapons. The world biggest emerald, 2860 carats, is on display there also. The famous Vienna Boys Choir sings at the Chapel there every Sun.. This is a must see while you are visiting the city.

A must see is the Danube Tower. Better known by the locals as the concrete tower, it stands a towering 352 meters tall. At the very top is a revolving bistro where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city while checking out the local Austrian food. The few daring folks will like to try the tower bungee jump, which is the highest bungee center in the entire world.

Schonbrunn Palace is a very important landmark you will not want to miss. Its history dates back to when the Habsburgs ruled and then later Emperor Franz Joseph. He lived there till he died then it was the property of the new republic. Inside the palace you'll see the room where Mozart played piano for an Empress. Crystal candelabrums and fresco ceilings embellish this important historical castle.

Schonbrunn Castle has lovely gardens and a park next door. The gardens come supplied with an orchard, shed, and pasture farm. There's also a palm house which has 3 different climates within and grows rain forest clippings from all areas of the globe. Its 1440 rooms are more than sufficient to see. A rest in the garden or park might be just the rejuvenation you need. You may enjoy being part of Austrian history.

Vienna Austria is a town known for its art, culture and musical talent. It may take 1 or 2 visits to take it all in. There's always something new to see every time you are there. From the historic castles and museums to the striking architecture you are sure to find something you love in this city.
