After less than twenty years of operation, there are nearly 100 aircraft in the operational fleet of Jet Airways - India. They fly some of the world's most advanced and sophisticated passenger airliners in the world. For instance, in their fleet are ten Boeing 777-300 ER (Extended Range) aircraft. The company also has over 50 of Boeing 737 next-generation airliners which include the 700/800/900 aircraft. Jet Airways also has the Airbus A330-200 which it operates as well. Purchasing older aircraft would have been an understandable choice since the company is so young. The company is now considered to have one of the youngest air carrier fleets in the entire global aviation community because it chose not to purchase older aircraft.

Naresh Goyal was the owner of Jetair at the time he established Jet Airways. Sales support and marketing for foreign airlines operating in India was the focus of his company. The original goal of Mr. Goyal was for Jet Airways to be a direct competitor of Indian Airlines which is owned by the Indian government. From the early 1950s until 1994 Indian Airlines was an airline conglomerate. In 1994, Jet Airways was able to move forward and begin flight operations due to the revoking of the Air Corporations Act.

In approximately 2010, we have become aware of the economic climate in all countries of the world. In essence, all businesses and places were adversely affected. So it was not surprising when Jet Airways laid-off 1900 employees in October of 2008. The 1900 employees made up about 20% of Jet Airways total workforce of 10,000 employees. No other company in India's history had ever laid off so many employees. Surprisingly, the company was able to rehire all of the laid off employees after meeting with the ICAM, Praful Patel. This was something completely unheard in the Western nations.

Later the next year, in the summer of 2008, the plans to fold JetLite into the parent company were made open to the public. This is something that is often seen throughout the aviation industry. In the beginning, the intention was to have JetLite service the lower budgeted clientele in India. Indeed, this particular market has certainly had its needs met by Jet Airways. When you think about the largess of India's population it's true that while there are some who are severely impoverished, there is still a big percentage of the population who are well served by this airline.

Primarily operating in India, the airline says that they feel it is their job to do so. A new campaign titled "Yellow Rose" was released in 1998. This campaign brought about the theory that people should be treated with due care and help as a flower gardener calls for. Offering major financial contributions, ever since this campaign was put into action, has been a continuous effort made by this company. Jet Airways strongly believes that giving to individuals in the community is as important as giving to larger groups as well. Jet Airways still continues to offer service to big majority An announcement by the company states that it plans to resume flights to some of those cities soon.

Lots of people have discovered that getaways, regardless of the airline you utilize, tend to be more enjoyable if you hire a car while you are there. Naturally, what this means is you'll have to get adequate car insurance. Talk with your neighborhood insurance professional for more data.
