Why not an Adventure Trip For Your Next Vacation?

By Lee Seong

How was your last vacation? Did you have a blast? Did you find excitement? Was there some time to kick back and relax or did your last vacation consist of getting your family to and fro, with a little yard work and household chores thrown in? Would you consider your last "vacation" a "staycation"?

When you have a few days off why not try one of the many adventure travels that is available in your local area. Even if you don't leave your state limits there are still plenty of adventures to be had. If you have the funds, why not spend a little on yourself and have a true adventure? Here are some adventure travels that are well-known favorites.

A noteworthy example of extreme adventure travels is mountain climbing. The West Coast Mountain Guides regularly take adventure travelers out on climbing expeditions. You can choose from locations all over the western Canadian provinces. Trekkers have many options, from rock climbing, ice climbing or even snow mountaineering. If you are yearning for adventure, they will take you on a journey that involves all three.

Before you venture out on one of these vacations, however, it is paramount you get to be in the best physical shape possible. Mountain climbing adventures are not for the slothful or those who are not physically fit!

With an extreme adventure vacation, it is possible to go skydiving over the Grand Canyon. Take a ride in a hot air balloon across the Australian outback. When you want to go to extremes the world is your oyster. For individuals interested in extreme vacations, India is notorious for paragliding. Why not give it a try?

Have you ever played with the idea of a deep-sea fishing trip? Very few individuals think about fishing as an adventure travel. In any respect, fishing becomes a whole different ball game when you are out on the big blue sea. Besides wrangling typically larger fish, you are also dealing with the ocean elements. Anything is possible, out on the ocean.

These are great trips because you can either ride your own llama in the Oregon wilderness or you can walk the trails and lead your llama behind you. How many other times in your life will you be able to ride llamas?

Adventure travels don't have to cost a lot (though they can sometimes be expensive). They do not have to be lengthy vacations. Some only last a day or two! Why would you choose to spend all of your vacation time sitting around feeling bored when you could spend it outside having adventures? Thanks to the sheer variety of adventure travels available, your hardest decision will be deciding up on a location and an activity. Have fun!
