Personalized Jewelry is Optimum for Any Occasion

Gift giving has gotten increasingly dicey.Gift giving has become much more tricky. It used to be very honorable. A simple card and possibly a note were all that was needed to express a person's feelings for another-primarily for little celebrations.

And then alphabet beads came out and people could buy them to make their own stuff. It didn't take long before people started figuring out how to put their names and initials on pretty much everything (but especially accessories and jewelry). Today people love the idea of giving name plated jewelry as a gift. Here are just a few of the occasions on which a piece of jewelry that has been personalized is appropriate.

The most obvious choice for a personalized piece of jewelry is a person's birthday. Thanks to the low cost of personalization, giving someone name branded jewelry can be a great gift--even if you don't know the person all that well. There are many items you can personalize for someone for their birthday. The most common is, of course, the name necklace. Obviously this is harder to do if you are buying the gift for a man.

Putting the person's name on a coffee mug is another great gift idea. Having some stationery printed and personalized will also be well received. It can be tricky to give gifts to colleagues, especially if you have not been promoted along with the person but it giving a personalized gift is always a great way to show that you care.

Anniversaries are perfect times to give personalized jewelry. Remember, personalization does not always have to mean that the person's name is used. If you are giving the anniversary gift to a couple, you might think about giving them matching accessories that have been printed with their initials.

You could also give someone personalized jewelry as a graduation gift. High School graduations are an especially great excuse to go the personalized route. Earrings with someone's name will never walk away from a dorm room jewelry box. Another great idea is a pendant that has the recipient's picture in it. Obviously you are not required to give someone jewelry as a grad gift. Towels and clothing are also two great things to personalize. In addition to jewelry, a picture of you and the graduate enclosed in a frame with both of your names engraved into it is a great gift idea.

Sometimes it is fun to give a gift "just because". Admit it: you love giving gifts because you relish the reaction the recipient may have when they receive it. It's okay-it's an enjoyable part of friendship. When you decide you want to give a gift "just for fun" a terrific option is a handcrafted piece of personalized jewelry. String some alphabet beads onto a leather cord with some other snazzy beads. Ta da! You have an excellent piece of personalized jewelry that you can gift to your friend!

Personalized gifts will always be appreciated. Remember: putting a person's name on something is not cheesy. It is often seen as a touching tribute to the person you are giving the gift to.
