Old Caravans: How To Get A Good Price For Them

By Paul Partridge

There may come a time when you feel the time is right to sell your caravan and this will usually be because you want to upgrade to a new one. But the truth of the matter is that what often happens is we don't get the best price for the caravan because we have failed to negotiate properly. You may end up with a much better price for your caravan if you are a bit clever about things.

The following tips will be useful for anyone selling a caravan and who wants to get the best price.

You need to make sure that you really do research the second hand caravan market before you try to sell. The best places to look are the classified sections that are found online and offline. Find out what the selling price is for caravans that are the same year and make as your own one. Look for quite a few prices so that you can get the maximum price, minimum price and the average selling price.

No matter what you are trying to sell, you should do all you can to make it look attractive. So you should try to get your caravan looking as good as new. Make sure that every nook and cranny is cleaned out.

Another thing you will need to be careful about is getting rid of bad smells. Unfortunately most caravans are going to pick up smells, and you might not even notice them anymore. However, buyers will notice these smells and they can be very off putting so it is best to try and get rid of them.

It is important that you come across as friendly when you try to sell the caravan, but you don't want to appear sleazy. It is much better for the buyer to think you are reluctant to sell the caravan.
