Ipad Uses

If you keep up to date with different gadgets, then you probably know what an iPad offers. If you've seen people with them, they have probably shown you the fun side of the iPad - games and entertainment applications. If you don't know much about an iPad, then this article is just perfect for you to read.

The iPad has been described as half way between the iPhone and a netbook. It's smaller than a netbook, and can be used to browse the internet, send and receive emails, watch movies, listen to music, and so on. It has a touch screen quite similar to the iPhone's but at a much larger scale.

With the launch of the iPad2, some of the features missing from the first version have been addressed. There are two cameras included already in the iPad2. Face Time offers video calling with VOIP, although the iPad is not strictly a phone. The newer version can now print over WiFi, which the first one could not.

Multitasking is another new feature in the iPad2. Multitasking isn't an option with the iPad1. You can also connect to the internet using WiFi or 3G. Cables are unnecessary. iPads all come with Bluetooth.

As with the iPhone, there are built-in applications (apps) that come standard with the iPad. These include Mail, Safari, Calendar, Notes, Contacts, You Tube, Maps, iTunes, iPod, iBooks and more. Other apps are available in the Apple Store - there are 150 000 iPhone apps, most of which are available for the iPad as well.

If you're always on the go, then the iPad is just right for you because it's lighter and thinner than netbooks. The iPad is ideal for surfing the web, checking email, reading books, playing games and watching movies. There are many specialized apps available, like Pages and Numbers which you can use for documents and spreadsheets.

A physical keyboard can be bought separately, which includes a stand for the iPad and a charging dock, so the iPad can be used at your desk as well as on the move. You might prefer a physical keyboard if you have to type a lot, even if the gadget features a touch screen.

There is more to the iPad than most people think. It is a very useful gadget for people who have to use a computer while they are on the go. The games and entertainment features may not appeal to business users, but the kids will certainly love them.
