By James Darien

When referring to entertainment few cities can match Vegas for variety. Theaters in Las Vegas are numerous and grand, designed to guarantee impressive performances. Folk flock to Las Vegas theaters to be transported by art. With so many major venues it is unsurprising that entertainment is a massive industry and the town invests heavily so as to continue to draw in audiences.

Theater for the Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood

In Vegas the Strip is a real attraction in itself and it is host to a numerous number of theater venues. One of the best is located at the Planet Hollywood casino and hotel. This flexible concert hall can seat anywhere between 2500 and 5000 audience members, depending on the event. Broadway musicals, awards rites, acting troupes and concerts are continually presented. The theater also demonstrates a bar and patrons are welcome to enjoy a drink during all performances.

The Pearl

Found inside the Palms Casino Resort The Pearl is a space designed for superior acoustics. The theater is probably one of the more recent concert halls in Las Vegas and consequently it takes full merit of the newest improvements in sound engineering. Seeing a gigantic concert here is a must.

Le Reve Theater

Visitors to The Wynn are acquainted with the resort's paramount opulence. The Le Reve Theater is no exception to this rule. Host to one of the most impressive shows on the Vegas Strip, the Le Reve Theater features a beautiful mixed stage and pool where more than 70 performers enact a jaw-dropping show nearly every night. This theater in the round boasts an enormous domed shape that is unlike anything else seen in the town. Each seat is a great seat in a theater where no audience member is placed at over 42 feet from the stage.

The Smith Center

Not found on the Strip, but a unique attraction however, the Smith Center is home to touring Broadway productions, the ballet, the symphony and numerous theater groups. The centerpiece is Reynolds Hall. It features 2050 seats and clear sightlines from virtually any seat. An orchestra pit big enough to accommodate 100 musicians makes this the best place to observe any performance that is accompanied by music.

Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall

Concert halls in Las Vegas don't come any better than this. Located on the UNLV campus the superior acoustics of this purpose-built facility offer the most impressive opportunity for hearing onstage music in the town. Classical music is the commonest offering, but like other theaters in Las Vegas the productions here are varied and entertaining.

The Joint

Las Vegas theaters are nothing if not versatile and this location at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is sometimes home to today's largest rock music acts while also catering for the sounds of rock 'n roll history. This is one theater that is built to rock and audience members are always warranted a wild time.
