Such office only verifies the information given and they will direct you to where the certificate can be obtained. One has to go to the county clerk office where the marriage was registered in order to get a copy of the certificate. Another way to obtain the document is by writing a mail request addressed to the state office. Unfortunately, the result of the mail request may be sent after a while.
