Some wish to subject themselves in more challenging conditions too so they can test how physically fit they are. You can compete in best obstacle course races in which you get to test your balance, strength and endurance.

It will not be an easy competition to do, its preparation is not easy either. It requires greater than physical preparation. All preparation, including mental ones should be done. Mental preparedness would be a step closer to executing tasks properly. It also would help that one is knowledgeable about the race he is to join. This is crucial to apt preparation for exercises and skills required to be mastered. There are different courses that need to be accomplished and one needs to know what those are to be thoroughly prepared for each.

One's upper body strength would really be put to the test here. Muscle groups that allow one to accomplish pushups, pull-ups and dips should be developed. These help one to get up a rope, over a fence or over a wall which one would most likely have to do in for the competition. Doing these exercises everyday will help to develop and strengthen muscles, making them ready for the game day.

It would also help that one practices sprints daily. This helps one's agility and speed. It helps in the competition because it would cut down time required for getting from one obstacle to another. That amount of time spared would be helpful for the exercises that may be found difficult to accomplish.

Master grip and balance as well. There are balance portions for most races. Find a beam that you can walk and run on. A trick you can use is to look straight up at the end and run towards it. You also will need to climb through walls and ropes. You can strengthen your grip by doing arm hangs as well as pull-ups. Using a towel in them will be most useful too.

Cardio exercises will help boost one's stamina and endurance. Running, swimming and biking are very helpful in that. Weight training will also be quite helpful too. It is important that while in training, one remembers the obstacles to overcome and also how he would get around them. It helps for one to visualize.

Apart from mental and physical preparations, one should be ready as well and present with all of his needs. One should pre-pack two days prior to the event so there is time for last minute laundry, shopping and what not. An inventory should be done for all needed things and they should be grouped according to when their use is necessary.

On game day, keep focus on. One should remember his training. It helps to meditate. It also is important that throughout training and competition, one hydrates and eats well.

Best obstacle course races would not be that easy to beat. These require work. These also require a great commitment.
