Money-Saving Tips at Disney World in Florida

By Steve Alexander

Even though a trip to Disney World in Florida can be one of the best experiences of your life, it can also be one of the most expensive. Luckily, there are many ways to have a great holiday here, whilst saving money at the same time.

It can be tempting to stay in the hotel within the Disney resort, but staying outside of the parks is often a lot cheaper. You'll be spending all day in the parks so don't worry about it affecting your 'Disney experience' and it might be nice to have a little break too! There's no need to worry about the expense or hassle of hiring a car either, as they also offer shuttle buses to the parks.

Another money saving tip is buying tickets in advance, as it can save you a fortune. There are always deals available, so it's wise to research before you book flights as it can affect how long you decide to go for. Hopper tickets are a great buy as well, because it gives you the ability to visit more than one park in a day.

One good idea before you go is to work out a budget as it's easier than trying to keep track and manage your expenses while you're out there. Setting out exactly what you have to spend each day makes it a lot clearer. It also means that you don't have to worry so much about finances while you're trying to have fun!

Food and drink are another big expense on top of the flights, hotels and park tickets. To keep the drinks cool all day, pop a few bottles of water in the freezer the night before and they will keep chilled throughout the day as they melt. A great idea is to take a trip to the local supermarket and stock up on snacks and drinks to carry in a backpack.
