It is a requirement to that before becoming a registered dietitian, a person must successfully complete an attachment that is properly supervised. Different states pay different dietitian salary, and the best states to work in for higher salaries are Maine, California, Colorado, Arizona, Massachusetts, Nevada, New York and Florida which pay over $65,000 per year. However the national averages are estimated at $53,812 a year. As to the trend of the industry, there will be more openings in the food industry, outpatient care centers, and also in nursing homes. There are more than 60,000 dietitians currently employed in the US.
