How Not To Maintain Personal Savings: The Nicolas Cage Story

By John Romeo

Nicolas Cage, without knowing some of the ridiculous things that have gone on in his daily life, is already one of the funniest celebrities in Hollywood. It's when you look into his person life and the way he spends his cash that you REALLY start to love him. With the insane amount of money he has grossed over the years, he still found a way to go bankrupt. Maybe he needs a little bit of help, but not before we have a good laugh!

If you search IMDB for facts about Nicolas Cage, all you're going to find is a career riddled with great movies and total bombs. But that doesn't tell the full Nic Cage story. The rumor is that Cage has spent close to $38 million on prized possessions. He outbid Leonardo DiCaprio on a dinosaur skull worth $276,000, as well as purchasing a knife made of wooly mammoth tusk and real shrunken heads. Strangely enough, these purchases are not the issue for his financial struggles.

This lovable actor is like a spoiled kid with an allowance. All of the money is getting spent, no matter how much he is given. The major difference is that Cage is 48 years old and is finding a way to pull that off with millions of dollars. The purchases that were the biggest wallet hits were the 50+ cars, the several mansions, and 2 islands in the Bahamas. Seriously? Islands?

All joking aside, this guy needs some serious help. Maybe he should talk to the guys at Golden Retirement and learn to better manage his finances. If you have seen his most recent movies, you'll probably agree with me that his acting career should be over sooner rather than later. Nic, if you're reading this, please listen to the advice I give: Learn to better manage your money. Don't change who you are, your off the screen life is what makes you a living legend; but seriously, shrunken heads? Those aren't even useful!

This American acting legend needs to cool his jets. While his mishaps in the managing of his money are hilarious, almost mythical stories for fans like myself, it's time for this man to get his head straight. Not too straight though, one can only hope!
