Most non Jewish people don't understand Jewish food. What they truly don't know is that the kind of food that is consumed by Jews has to be well prepared according to the laws and customs that are mentioned in the Torah . Passover Food

Jewish catering gives special food during the Passover. Passover is a special Jewish holiday which is used to memorialize the time when Israelites were freed from the bonds of Egyptian slavery. Based on history, it is stated that when the Israelites left Egypt they left in a rush such that they had no time to wait for their bread to rise so they consumed unleavened bread. Hence today the event is commemorated through eating unleavened bread. These days the special event is preceded by a procedure for removing traces of leaven from the kitchen or perhaps any other locations meant for cooking.

Traditional Meals

Jewish catering usually provides the following traditional foods throughout the Passover.

*Charoset - brownish like paste created from ground apples and nuts seasoned with wine.

*Gefilte fish - meat balls created from deboned fish (carp or pike)

*Matzah balls in chicken soup - dumplings made from matzo meal boiled in chicken soup.

*Matzahbrei - this is food made from matzah which is dipped in egg and fried.

*Matzo cereal - a cereal made from matzo meal often served with milk.

*Rice - even though some Jews avoid it during the Passover as it can be contaminated with wheat grains.

Can Non-Jews Consume Jewish Food?

Jewish catering basically gives food that is prepared based on Jewish laws and customs. The meals they prepare is not limited to Jews thus non Jewish people are free to consume such food. Jewish food is actually regarded to be healthy by several scientists as it is free from some fats that can cause severe health complications. Meat used by Jews is totally examined to ensure animals slaughtered are healthy. This is ideal for it ensures that very sickly animals are not consumed by humans as this would raise the risks of humans being infected. So, all in all non Jews can securely consume kosher food devoid of any issues at all, although Jews can't consume non kosher food (treif).
