By Nathon Owen

Adult Halloween costumes need to be planned out carefully when worn. When you've already gotten past the point of puberty you may not be so easily accepted wearing one. But you can still sport women Halloween costumes despite what others may have to say. The only thing you'll have to decide on is what men's costume (or women's costume) would be the most appropriate for you this Halloween.

The company you keep might help you decide this all-important, yearly question. Do you have a regular tradition of picking out an outfit with your best bud to wear at their Halloween get together? If so the answer is easy.

Up front decisions need to be made about where your adult Halloween costumes will be worn. Depending on whether or not you'll be attending a party at night or one held at your job, you may have to adjust outfits accordingly. You may even have several places to wear your costume this year, if that's the case then you (and your friends) may want to go all out with your Halloween outfits.

It is worth pointing out, however, that your job may not be the best place to wear certain adult Halloween costumes. You know your profession better than anyone else - will your costume be appropriate in an office setting? If the answer is yes, you still may want to find a costume that won't expose too much or attract the type of attention that takes away distract from work. Women's costumes are most often in jeopardy of this, but men's costumes should also be toned down when necessary as well.

But those men still better be on the lookout for any mix-messages his costume might be sending. Men should stay away from adult Halloween costumes that have bad language or improper images. These types of men's costumes should be saved for after work affairs.

If you work in a cubicle at work, it may be a good idea to keep your adult Halloween costumes as small and non-cumbersome as possible. You don't even have to put on the whole costume; a portion can do the job until you get off work and are ready to wear the rest. A headband with 'bunny' or 'mouse' ears could be all the adult Halloween costumes you'll need.

These are also considerations to be made when attending Halloween parties as well. Check with your host to determine what type of guests will be at the party. What adult wants to be caught wearing adult Halloween costumes that are inappropriate for children who ended up being at the party - not you!

Did you enjoy feeling like a complete fool last year when you showed up at the get together in a gaudy clown suit, to find that no one else dressed up for the occasion? Remember, it never hurts to ask ahead of time if anyone else will be celebrating with a costume. It could save you a bit of embarrassment, unless of course, you have no concern for the opinions of others. In which case, more power to you!

Remember, adult Halloween costumes are fun when worn at appropriate times. Always pick adult Halloween costumes that go with your particular personality, you'll have more fun. Take some of the hints listed above to heart and I promise you'll have a much better Halloween this year. Edited by Prestrick Warshe
