Use Christian Shirts To Rebuke The Enemy

By Barry York

Make no mistake, friends. There is a hard-fought war underway. This war is not taking place in some desert landscape or in some jungle across the sea. This war is being fought every day in our schools and on the streets we walk down. The enemy is not our neighbor, but rather the evil influence of Satan upon the lives of people who could be avid warriors for God who wear Christian clothing and witness as we should be to any who can listen.

Satan has had since the birth of mankind to develop his nefarious means of control over the population at large. He has used false gods in the past, and still does so to this day. The gods he demands us worship are called "Media" and "Money", and he makes them more attractive than any Greek god of desire ever was. Christian shirts are our defense and our weapon.

It is only our abilities of free speech and strength of will that let us continue to fight against such a powerful foe. We can tell nonbelievers what we like and pray for their souls at night. Just the fact that we are a proud, practicing Christian can be enough to stem the tide of sin at times. That is why I find it so discouraging that more people, especially youths, won't even consider wearing Christian t-shirts as a means of witness.

I do not want to make Christians feel guilty when our whole faith should be based on victory and love, but something must be said about the lukewarm nature in many of us. No one has ever lied to you and told you that being a Christian would be easy. "The path to hell is straight and paved..." is a great reminder that we must constantly be working toward our salvation. If you ever feel that things are going easily, then you need to buckle down, put on your Christian tees, and take your gospel to the streets.

It is time to ramp up our efforts to convert the sinners of America. There is not much time, and Christ could return at any moment to hold us accountable for all that we have (and have not) done. If one soul turned their eyes inward and questioned their sinful life because of Christian clothing you wore to the store, would it not be worth it? It is not a matter of what is "cool" anymore...it is a question of salvation.
