Whether you're a professional construction worker, or just working on a DIY project at home, Bricksmith have you covered for all your brick based needs. There are a large variety of bricks in all colours, sizes and types, in all over 1000 types that might seem initially daunting but can be sorted through thanks to a staff of highly trained brick specialists.

Before you go any further of course you'll need to select your brick. Bricks from bricksmith come in 3 main styles that will now be explored in detail. The first major style (and perhaps the most common) is the 'facing' brick. Made from clay, the facing bricks are less durable than engineering bricks but they are far more aesthetically pleasing. Some even say that as facing bricks age they actually get more attractive and the majority of modern structures will use facing bricks in visible situations wherever possible as they offer the perfect combination of affordability and attractiveness.

There are 3 main types of brick widely available and the most popular of these is the 'facing' brick. Offering a combination of quality construction, fantastic looks and durability, facing bricks (built from clay) are the industry's bread and butter. Facing bricks are safe and long lasting, incredibly absorbent and cannot be matched in their price range in terms of 'bang for buck' value. They are used in most modern above ground construction jobs due to their dependency and looks (some swear by the fact that they actually look better with age).

Engineering bricks are stronger and less expensive than facing bricks but are also less attractive. They come in either class A or B varieties with class B being stronger and more absorbent but also less common and more expensive. Class a bricks are far more common as engineering blocks are traditionally used as building blocks due to their strength and lack of aesthetic value. The third and final main type of brick is the Special shaped brick. As you would assume from the name, these blocks are specially built to fit very specific purposes for either structural or visual reasons.

Besides standard facing and engineering bricks, bricksmith also offers a range of 'Special Shaped' bricks. These are bricks that are specifically manufactured to fit a certain purpose, be it for an aesthetic or structural reason. They can be made in all common colours and in all types though obviously with the high level of customization comes a much higher price. In some situations however, simple rectangular bricks just won't suffice, and in this situation rest assured, bricksmith have you covered!
