International Horse Racing And Its Race Tracks

Horse racing has been a popular sport for several hundred years. It is extremely popular in the United States and Great Britain especially, but many other countries love the thrill of the race. International horse racing is a sport that can gather multitudes of different people of different cultures together to enjoy one common sport.

Getting in on the horse racing scene would be the United Arab community by introducing the Dubai World Cup. They began this race back in 1996 and it opened the door for Arabic countries to get involved in international horse racing. The first year it made history with the great American horse called Cigar, who went home with the first Dubai World Cup. Not only did this wonder horse steal the first cup but it also set the standard for quality racing in Dubai.

The United Kingdom offers up a total of 66 different race tracks for their horse racing needs. The AinTree stands out the most because it is the track that holds the John Smith Grand National.

Ireland has about 30 race tracks and one of the more beautiful ones that is located in an area that is totally surrounded by beautiful scenery, including a view of the Irish Sea to the east is the Bellewstown Race Track.

Canada has about 50 plus race tracks all offering a different variety of races and activities to keep people happy. Fraser Downs not only offers a variety of races to enjoy they also have some great dinning and casino that you can spend some time in or relax in a charming pub and excellent company.

As for the United States, they presently offer over 150 different racecourses. Some of the more popular tracks would be Arlington Park, Santa Anita Park, Hollywood Park and the grand daddy of them all Churchill Downs, famous for the Kentucky Derby.

Right a long with the rest of the world you will find Australia who loves horse racing as much as the next guy. The Melbourne Cup is probably the race that stands out amongst the rest which takes place on a yearly basis at Flemington Racecourse.

Horse racing in Japan is fast becoming a very popular sport. Japan models its racing after the American races and they offer the biggest purse in the world for racing which comes to just a little over four and half million dollars.

International horse racing is big and reaches far and wide. Some other countries that have a good grip on the sport would be France, Germany, New Zealand, India, China and many more. It has become far more than the sport of kings.
