2 Days to Go

By Katie Perry

Expect your remaining days to go on like a blur. You'll have to do final packing, touching up, cleaning etc in the fastest way possible and there will be sleepless nights as well. You may also have to go on some emergency leave just to finish packing and dedicate more time on the final preparations. By this time around, you must already have almost everything set and loaded. Otherwise, at least ensure that you've already made settlement on the things that will most likely have an effect on the first days in the new residence. Get real estate help from Steve Krofchick.

At two days to go, if you do not have a truck with power points, you may need to start defrosting your fridge. Easier said than done, but it saves you having to clean up water in the van, or worse, damaging your boxes and bags because your freezer has leaked. Any food you're using today need to be as minimal prep as possible, so that you may pack any tins, cans, pots and pans you have left .

Final checks with your utilities should also be made , you'll have managed to either transfer or connect a new phone number at your new house, so you can start updating contact details.

Dont forget to notify your relatives and friends about the move--they'll appreciate it. You can have a farewell party with paper plates and throw away cups--make an adventure out of it. It will be fun and you can ask them to help you pack the remaining items as well.

You can also assure that any academic institutions, health providers or various other frequent guests or areas you consistently go to have your new contact information, if needed. Many schools will need an address of a new school in order to discharge students' records, hence its significant, if you can, to provide them.
