A Laser Light Display Of Awesomeness - Family Values Book Critique

By Madison Lopez

This book is written in an entirely different manner and the content is true to the title "Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag" by Sarah Palin, former governor of Alaska who quit half-way thru her first term.

She should cool her jets, take a break from the spotlight, bookshelves, and microphones, and figure out if she really wants to keep this up. She is not a fan of "Obamacare" and her interpretation of federal babysitting in a welfare state. As the Governor of Alaska, she does have a different perspective as a Mama Grizzly looking down on the Lower 48.

Their personal attacks will only create more Palin supporters every day. There are specific themes which echo much of what she discusses in her weekly blog.

I had the chance to read this over the course of a few days which is how long it took me, at least 4 or 5 days, and that was about 4 months ago. Entertaining, mind bending and very detailed, it is a good type of book to read some, then put it down and go back to errands then pick it up again.

If you love Palin, you will love the book. If you are not a fan, you won't like this book. All they do is nag, nag, nag and offer nothing but nagging commentary. I like Sarah Palin because she's a fighter.

I strongly recommend it. One more piece of pulp from the Palin money machine. However once she began to speak publicly, without a script, I got very nervous. It was clear she had a lot of catching up to do on current events and important historical contexts.

I also make no apologies for being an ardent tea party fan. It is a surprise to me that, at the time of writing this review, there were 72 customer reviews of this book on Amazon: 31 were 5-star, 30 were 1-star and a smattering fell in-between. In America by Heart, Sarah Palin stands up for integrity, morality and ethics. She's proud of our country and its heritage and tells us why. You know, kind of like they do in Islamic countries where they still behead people and whip women who show their faces in public. I consider "America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag," to be an extreme waste of money, and paper. Palin of course does not believe that war had anything to do with oil. Yes, we sent troops because we cared so much about the freedoms of Saudis and Kuwaitis.

Her enthusiasm for this great country is contagious, her love for life so tangible, that you can't help feeling uplifted and proud to be an American. She quotes and reflects on speeches and writings of other great Americans who have inspired her and touched her life.
