The Copper Canyon consists of six different canyons, the canyons boast one of the deepest of the six Canyons at 6136 feet deep. It is also the deepest canyon in North America. This canyon includes the unforgettable river and a small town also known as nestled deep within the heart of Copper Canyon. It's a must see and will be something you'll be talking about for the rest of your life.

The Chihuahua Pacific Railway is one way to access the Copper Canyon area and it is considered to be one of the most exciting train rides. It is not to be missed if you are planning a trip to the Copper Canyons. Many tourists begin their trip at Los Mochis which can be reaches by air or by bus. From Los Mochis tourists usually go to Creel which is the second largest town in the area.

The Copper Canyon is 5770 feet deep. One canyon is 4674 feet deep and is home of the natural hot springs in the area. Another choice canyon is named after a 17th century silver mining town in Mexico. It is so named because miners found silver in the river that runs through this fantastic and amazing canyon. This canyon is 5904 Feet deep. The other canyon is 3225 feet deep.

The Copper Canyon, is definitely a place to put on your list to tour. These canyons are unlike any other canyon system. Here you will find spectacular views, and immense amount of wildlife, witness the ancient culture of the indigenous native peoples, and you will hike some of the deepest canyons in North America. The Copper Canyons are truly a spectacular natural wonder and should not be missed.

The more remote regions of the canyons are home to bears, pumas, mountain lions, and Mexican wolves. Ocelot and jaguar reside down in the Canyons where the weather is more moderate, however they are rarely seen. Near the rivers of the canyons you will find otters, skunks, squirrels, and badgers. Several different species of birds are located throughout the canyon including the red and blue parrot and mountain cockatoo. Unfortunately all over the wildlife that inhabit the canyons are threatened with extinction.
