How to Find Mr. Right

By Rachel Schwarzman

A lot of studies can prove that more than half of the total number of marriages fail or end up in a divorce. It is surely disappointing to think about it and of course it brings stress if you'll be part of this huge number of failed marriages. Well, you can avoid the hassle of a failed marriage if you know how to choose the right partner. You need to set your mind what your ideal partner is including what traits you don't want your partner to have .

Personalities vary among each individual. Thus, you have to know the other person better before making any decisions. You have to take into account his different practices or hobbies, what values he has instilled in his daily living, or how he grooms himself, and also other things you think are significant for your decision-making. Do not just focus on his or her physical appearance because beauty is just skin-deep.

Say for example, you might not know that the person that you and your clasmates used to fool around way back in high school is the sweetest person that you could ever meet. Hence, don't just look at his physical attribute but instead focus on his wonderful and good traits.

Also, you have to be yourself. Do not pretend to be the likes of someone else. If you just a simple person who would rather take a stroll down the shore, kick the sand, enjoy the sunset, then so be it. You do not have to pretend that you are someone who is on top of the world playing other people like chess pieces. If he or she does not like you just the way you are, then he or she does not deserve you.

Be Well-Groomed. Of course, you have to be well-groomed. You can't just waltz into someone else's life when you look like you have been run over by a dozen garbage trucks. However, this does not mean to say that you have to be all sparkly with your accessories, or wear the most expensive suits among the most expensive. This just means to say that if you are really intent on catching the eye or Mr. or Ms. Right, then you must not play dress-up like its Halloween night or else you will scare him or her off.

Too much makeup should be avoided. Most men prefer dating women with light to no makeup at all. Apply light makeup and avoid too much color on your face or you'll look like a dummy or clown. Putting on too much makeup is a common mistake among women and this should definitely be avoided because he might get turned off or he might only like your make up-colored face and not your natural appearance. Thus, apply only light makeup to brighten up your look.

It is a must to be open-minded. Possibilities are endless and the person seated across you in the train with thick eyeglasses and metal on his or her teeth might be the one you are looking for. Avoid judging a person based on what has been stereotyped on your mind. When you see him or her always reading a thick book in a coffee shop looking like a nerd, do not remove him or her from your list of Mr. or Ms. Right candidates because he or she might possibly be the right one for you.

Go out and enjoy. If you want to meet Mr or Ms Right, then you have to go out and meet people. Get introduced to your friends' friends and not just sit down all day in the office or stay at home on weekends. Go on group dates and have a good time with friends and new acquaintances.

If you're in a crowd, avoid laughing for no good reason. Laugh only when there's a reason to laugh. If not, just stay put or else Mr or Ms. Right might think you're insane. A good laugh with new friends can be a good start for a conversation with potential Mr. Right. He or she will think of you as a cheerful person and this is a good trait that most of us get attracted to.
