Sinus Irrigator Can Kill The Fungus In Your Nasal Passages

By John Brown

Did you know that it was possible for fungus to grown inside of your nasal cavities? Most individuals have no idea that such a possibility even exists. This lack of knowledge can in turn lead to a lot of unnecessary health conditions. The major cause behind a chronic sinus infection is in fact due to the presence of fungus. When being proactive and educated oneself, only then can we learn how to identify and stop fungus in its tracks. This if effect can save us from many unwanted uncomfortable symptoms that only appeared due to our negligence.

Neti Pots and the process of nose rinsing is great for people who possess reoccurring bouts of chronic allergies. It is the small air particles like dust mites, pet dander, and pollen that tend to irritate the nasal cavities. These small debris bind to the walls of the sinus cavities, and with time help bacteria that is also present multiply. The other more unpleasant side effect is also the growth of fungus. It is hard for some people to imagine, but fungus is present everywhere.

The problem with beating fungus or catching it is its ability to travel through the air. Mold and fungus spores are light and can be found almost anywhere near its source even if you are not in the same building. As they enter your nose the reproduction process happens very quickly and can cause unbearable problems and pain normally found in chronic sinus infections.

Many times as a first healthy line of defense, a neti pot is recommended by the medical practitioner. The saline mixes recommended should include sodium bicarbonate, which acts as a buffer and xylitol, which is usually used as a substitute for sugar. Of course, there are other options to fight off the infection that include prescription medication, but that does come with other unwanted side effects.

The natural treatment method comprises of flushing out your nasal cavities with a specifically selected mix of saline nasal solution. This can be done by other tools than the neti pot such as sinus irrigation systems but I tend to not think of those as very natural. It is healthier in my opinion to have the gravity do its work, and not force water electrically into your nostrils. When looking for any options though, it is wise to first go and consult with your doctor. It might be something that can be stopped early and naturally before it becomes a chronic nuisance.
