Great Little Light So Far - Walkway Lights Review

By Hannah Morris

As other people have stated, it's not the kind of bright light you can get with halogen or incandescent. We required a light that will work on a motion sensor and light up enough of our garage so we could open up the doorway with ease or grab something or whatever without the need for a flashlight. The detection is just right from the sides I'd expect an intruder. Lets me know when dogs are on my property (so I can let mine out to play). Then make the other an upgrade. Took some time to figure out how you can screw it into the door jamb, but once it was set up, the light is effective.

It is well-crafted, has four D-size batteries that are simple to replace, it looks great, super easy to mount (two screws) and tilts and rotates. To date it has been well worth the cost and I would recommend this light. I used these sidewalk lighting units at the front door and the range seems very good no matter how I approach the doorway from.

These were easy to set up and we received them in just a couple of days after ordering.

The sensitivity is excellent and they seem well-built. Light was extremely bright and had an excellent sensor however, after four days the light stopped working so I am stuck with another worthless light. I set up this LED floodlight on the exterior side of my house just beneath the eave of the roof. When the mount base (plastic and I have had no issues) might be strengthened, that would be a noticable difference. The sidewalk lighting unit is effective, but due to it being battery powered we needed two to do the job.

The Dorcy 41-1071 LED wireless motion-sensing flood light is a great item, offered at a reasonable cost at Amazon.com. It is nowhere near as bright as a high power AC floodlight. We invested $160-ish for all eight lights. I mounted the walkway lights to a sizable fruit tree close to the front steps, down near the road.

I have solar lights which use two AA batteries that released more effective light.

The automated motion sensor is extremely delicate.

I hung up today, which was super easy to do, and tested it many times.

Sadly, that was not the case based on my own experience with Hadco lighting. We've had kids break into garages and cars before, which means this may deter them. The removable bollard lights have been through a number of hard rain storms and wind. This light is ideal for any entrance or drive, or any darkish lit region, it has lots of power to light almost anything. I discovered that after the wind was blowing hard during the night and some shrubs which were in the range of the sensor moved sufficiently, the light comes on. I am very happy with this purchase. Great item!
