With the forthcoming Halloween season, you may already thinking about costume ideas. What could be more romantic than Western saloon costumes? If you know that you will be attending costume parties as a couple, then this is the perfect choice for you. Take yourself back to the times of gunslingers and the women that would entertain them. Saloon girls were always so very pretty and yet utilized to the rough and tumble ways of the cowboy.

There are several characters that you can become with regards to the Western saloon theme. If you are a man, you could be a cowboy. Otherwise you would prefer the bartender role; this costume is similar to the cowboy outfit except you would add a lady's garter on the sleeve of your arm. The hat would be different also, what about a derby hat rather than a cowboy hat. Another choice in western saloon costumes for men is that of the professional poker player. This too is identical to the cowboy outfit. However, you could add props like playing cards or poker chips and a bandanna.

If you're a woman, there are lots of Western saloon costumes options for you in this Halloween too. If you are the tomboy type and find it a bit drafty to put on a dress, then maybe you could go as a female cattle rustler. This costume can be achieved, basically, by putting on a pair of wranglers, a western shirt, a cowboy hat, a pair of cowboy boots, and a set of chaps. For the more feminine side of you, there is also the saloon girl.

To achieve this costume, you will need a satin frilly skirt, a pair of fishnet stockings, high heels, and a tight ruffled bustier. Never forget your garter, some heavy makeup, and a large colorful feather protruding of your hair. If you find the idea of assembling one of these costumes quite daunting, there are plenty of online stores that sell complete costumes that are pre-made.

Western saloon costumes are really easy to put together, if you buy them already made. Then it is as basic as adding some finishing touches such as hair styles and makeup. If you don't wish to purchase a pre-made costume, then it is just as easy to venture to some thrift stores far ahead of time and piece together your outfit, that way.
