Team Fortress 2 Support Players On Game Servers

By Dirik Hameed

Team Fortress 2's most important class, is arguably the support class. Supporting the scouts, you'll find this class all over the map. Your support class will also keep the heavy man going.

The medic is an important part of Team Fortress 2 not seen on Counterstrike Source game servers. The medics main weapon is the syringe launcher. His secondary weapon is the medi gun. He uses the bone saw for his melee weapon.

The medic is the main healer on Team Fortress 2 game servers. Thus you should find that all good medics will be at the front supporting the scouts and the soldier. While healing is their main job, staying out the firing line is also important. The medic's weapons are only mediocre as he should be focused on healing players using his medi gun. The medic will receive a bonus of 150% on his own health by healing other allies. However if the medic stops healing then the players bonus health will slowly degenerate back to normal. Known as over healing, the charge bar will over fill and make the medic and his ally invulnerable for 10 seconds. Think how effective this is for a heavy when he can attack an enemy base for a prolonged period. If you like looking after your friends on Team Fortress 2 servers, then the medic is the best choice for you.

The sniper rifle is the sniper's main weapon (surprise surprise!). The sub machine gun is his secondary weapon. A machete is used as his melee weapon. The sniper will take you out from long range if you stay still for too long. If you like hanging back and picking off targets from distance, you'll enjoy the sniper class. Finding the best spot where you are protected, but with good view is key to success with the sniper. Once you have found a good spot, you can take out targets with ease. You can also if you can take out that medic that's healing the heavy. Once you've taken out the medic, it will allow your team to progress much quicker. Staying scoped in on your target for longer will increase the power of your shot. An expanding laser scope indicates this. Don't however expect to take out targets at short range with the sniper.

The spy is the James Bond of Team Fortress 2 servers, using a cloak and disguises to blend in and sneak behind the enemy lines. With the butterfly knife he can take out foes in one smooth movement. However, be aware this move isn't instant. If you move out of range you can be spotted. Your disguise will be revealed if you use anything other than the sapper. This is used to attach to engineers buildings which disables it and then slowly saps its health until it's destroyed. Thus it is best to place the sapper and then take out the engineer as the sapper can be removed with just two whacks of the engineers wrench. Remember, when you can see a spy's disguise, he's friendly. If you fancy yourself as James Bond, the spy is worth a look.
