Working In Manchester City Centre

Working in Manchester city centre can be incredibly exciting and challenging at the same time. Although Manchester is not too far away from London (a train can have you there in just a couple of hours)it is completely different. The city has a population of around three million yet there seems to be more of a community feeling than in some other large UK cities.

The idea of working in London is attractive, particularly to young graduates but lots of people find Manchester a less daunting alternative. Manchester has the second largest student population outside of London.

If you need to find a place to live in Manchester this should be fairly easy. There are lots of flats and apartments available across the city and in surrounding towns. Lots of house shares are also available. Due to Manchester being such a busy and attractive city there are lots of hotels, so if you want to have family to visit there won't be a problem finding them somewhere to stay.

Like all cities, Manchester is made up of lots of different areas, some are nicer than others. The roughest areas are Moss Side and Hulme which are also closest to the student village. Crimes such as muggings often occur and you should avoid these areas at night. Obviously houses and flats outside of this area are higher in price but you will save money on travelling so it may be worth it.

If you decide you would like to live further out of the city nd make a short commute in you might want to look south of the city. Areas such as Didsbury are popular, there are lot of easy ways to get into the city from the suburbs.

Eating out in Manchester can be really good. Whether it is a quite bite you are after or an upmarket dinig experience, Manchester has plenty of options.

Manchester is also one of the least expensive cities to live in in the UK. There are lots of opportunities to be had in Manchester and if you are thinking of moving there you may wish to register with a good recruitment agency.
