Santa Cruz is known for the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, the redwoods and the movie the Lost Boys. What you didnt' know is that Santa Cruz has incredible wine and wineries.

The Santa Cruz appellation is considered to be one of the pioneer wine producing regions in America. One can find a staggering 70 tasting rooms and wineries in the area, along with other sights and special events for entertainment. They are widely held for their top notch pinot noir, which is not surprising to have won awards among the others. The sights are amazing, too. The province of Santa Cruz provides everyone spectacular sights to take in as well as the apparent presence of their culture. While you are obviously enjoying the assortment of wines available. Sones cellars winery is owned and operated by Lois and Michael Sones who also produces wine. For anyone planning to pay Sones Cellars a visit, it is opened from Friday to Sunday between 12 noon to 5 Pm in the evening. Bonny Doon Vineyard has been around for as long as the Santa Cruz wineries started. Built and first operated in 1983, Californians, as well as wine aficionados, were treated with the first wineries to embrace the Rhone varietals, which in effect, Randall Grahm was dubbed as "The Rhone Ranger". Copious Winery introduces wine lovers to the great skills in wine making brought by Lance Campbell, who has worn more than 300 state and international awards. At this winery, they blend the traditional wine styles with state of art styles of wine making thereby producing wines that have intense varietal features, elegant and superbly balanced wines.
