A Collection Agency & the World of Animation

By Rob Sutter

Even after people have become adults, it seems like cartoons are still an enjoyable form of media. Why shouldn't they be? They allow people to get away from their problems and whether it's a modern anime someone may like today or old cartoons which they feel nostalgic for, the truth is that people enjoy a release and cartoons where reality has no bearing gives them that. One has to wonder how reality would play into these shows, a collection agency in particular.

A collection agency is hired on in order to help a client acquire the funds which they are owed. This means that a company like Rapid Recovery has to work efficiently in order for people to see their payments which they deserve. The situations where a company such as this can get involved can vary quite a bit, whether it's a business that owes money or even a sole person. There is many a scenario that one can think of and I believe that the world of animation can fit it.

Cartoons have seen a multitude of characters with a focus on money and I believe Scrooge McDuck is the most noteworthy. This billed character has a number of riches to look into and anyone who knows Disney will be aware of his attitude. It's even shown in the introduction to "DuckTales," as you can see his wealth is depicted by a leap into a pool of gold coins. Consider that this is only one example of animated characters with a penchant for money.

Turning the page from Disney to Warner Bros. now, you still have characters who like money and Montana Max is one of them. Featured in "Tiny Toon Adventures," this quintessential bratty character is someone who knows that he's wealthy and isn't afraid to show it. His arrogance often leads him down the wrong path, though, which is natural for personalities which aren't exactly antagonists. They aren't exactly devious but their annoyances are usually met with a bad turn that shows viewers the consequences of certain actions.

One would have to imagine how these types of characters and others would go about utilizing a collection agency. After all, they already seem to be swimming in money and if the case is strong enough, what's wrong with just a little bit more? Of course, the importance of the case has to be strong or else the effectiveness of an agency like this is going to hang in limbo. It's a case where certain scenarios, especially the ones headed by these characters, may not work to their fullest.
