All About Hookah And Shisha flavors

By John McCree

Trying to find the perfect shisha flavor for you? In this post, we will discuss how you can find and buy the correct kind of shisha flavor for yourself.

The flavorful tobacco, which is normally used in a hookah is commonly referred to as shisha. The modern day shisha contains all or some of the following things:

1. Tobacco

2. Treacle (uncrystallized syrup produced in refining sugar)

3. Honey

4. Sugar

5. Molasses

6. Glycerin

7. Nicotine

8. Dried Fruit

9. Distilled Water

The hookah smokers prefer the common fruity flavors such as apple, banana or mango. However, there are plenty of new and creative flavors on the market like Starbuzz's "Blue Mist". The vast majority of new flavors have a fruit flavor as the base. For instance, Blueberry Muffin or Pink Lemonade obviously have their roots in a fruity base.

Owing to the improved production procedures, it has become very easy to add flavors to shisha and therefore a wide range of flavors is available on the market. Any substance can be mixed in dried tobacco in the production to make unique flavors.

Social Smoking

Individuals normally smoke hookah in a social gathering where they can have the company of their family and friends. As hookahs grew in popularity through the Middle East hundreds of years ago, it became typical to see them in drinking and eating establishments. Nowadays they are seen in places from smoking parlors, to clubs, to the home.

Most of the increasing popularity of shisha can be attributed to the flavor and soothing effect of the smoke. As a contrast to cigarettes, hookah smoking is done more as a social pursuit and for the flavor, instead of for any kind of biological impact. While cigarettes give more of a "quick fix" having a strong dose of nicotine and a normally annoying aroma, a flavorful hookah session may last an hour or longer, and shisha doesn't have near the addictive characteristics as cigarettes.

Getting the Most Flavor from Your Hookah

No rocket science here, but some good common sense and discipline can go a long way when it comes to getting the best from your hookah. If you are a hookah owner then you should make it a habit of cleaning your hookah regularly You should wash your hookah carefully with warm water after each use.

In order to have a smooth smoking session then you should stop the coals from burning up the tobacco during the session. The tobacco should not get stuck to the foil, better still, the tobacco should not even touch the foil. While you are packing the bowl, be sure the tobacco is at least a couple of millimeters below the rim of the bowl. In this manner, when you will wrap the aluminum foil on the top of the rim, there'll be distance between the aluminum foil and tobacco. One more tactic you can use to keep distance between foil and the tobacco is to place two toothpicks in cross on the tobacco. Also, when "packing" the bowl, don't pack the tobacco down tightly. Rather, loosely pile it into a nice mound allowing the air to flow through the mound. Doing this, you'll be able to get a flavorful hit without having to strongly puff on the hose. If desired you may also use two sheets of aluminum foil to help prevent against overheating. The name of the game here is: KEEP IT REALLY CLEAN AND DON'T BURN THE SHISHA!
