Toe Tip Buckets ARE Engineered For The Long Haul

By Jerry Scott

If you work in a grain shed, with green waste, in a quarry, or in any other area that involves loading trucks to transport a high volume of product, you might like to consider investing in a toe tip bucket, (sometimes called a high dump bucket, or a high rollover bucket).

This bucket lets you to go even further, but with improved stability as its original design enables you to win extra height, (even when lift height of the machine is short), and there is no need for a long reach arm. It is adequate for many applications and it's engineered for high volume, continuous use.

Your toetip bucket will save you great amounts of machine and operator time, resulting in reduced fuel consumption and wear and tear, as well as saving you money in the long run. The toe tip bucket also reduces the complete cycle time of your job, (the time it takes to pick up the load, deposit it in the truck, then return to get another load). This is because the dumping has a much smaller rollover arc than a standard Heavy duty bucket mounted direct to the loader arms or quick hitch. This means that when used repeatedly throughout the day.

Toe tip buckets - design and engineering considerations

Buckets should be built to last, using a some specific design and engineering requirements.

1. Toe tip buckets contain a Glycodur self-lubing, replaceable dry bearing

These bearings can last for many years without requiring to be replaced, even in an extensive use situation - which means your toe tip or high dump bucket will need considerably less maintenance than the machine. These high-wearing, self-lubing GLYCODUR sliding bearings have a steel base, to which a 0.2 to 0.4 mm porous tin bronze layer is sintered. The pores of this layer are filled during a rolling process with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and other friction decreasing additives. High performance bearings can be simply replaced on-site when necessary.

2. All toe tip buckets are durable and robust

These buckets encounter a lot of stress from heavy loads and knocks, however a good toe tip bucket will be engineered not to fatigue. Our buckets are made from low weight, high strength steel and are built to be sturdy workhorses in all sorts of situations.

3. Designed for practicality

These buckets give you optimal reach, which allows you to discharge your load from extreme heights with unique control. This makes it simpler to charge the truck, and prevents you from accidentally smashing the trailer bows or chains with the bucket. Simply drive up, set the height of the bucket, and then tip the load into the vehicle. This operation also enables you to distribute the weight of the grain (or other load) evenly inside the truck.
