Whistler needs no introduction as one of North America's most popular ski resorts. This charming ski village has so much to offer both on and off the ski hills. There is great skiing for all abilities, with wonderful runs. Just a short two hour drive from Vancouver gets you to Whistler Village, the top ski destination year after year. It has become an icon in the ski resort industry.

Cruising from top to bottom on either mountain takes time, as a total of 8,171 skiable acres demands. It is a really incredible and vast ski playground. The lifts are well maintained and the ski area is groomed to a high standard. There are plentiful cross-country routes and lots of walking trails too for those who prefer a more leisurely day on the mountain. Shops about in Whistler, so no need to worry about a lack of choice. And they have a great deal of expertise navigating the winter roads to the resort. Your vehicle will likely have room to store your skis and other equipment.

Skiing is what people come here for in the winter, but there is much more to offer in this picturesque little village. The wide variety of cuisine available in the village could tempt you to stay off the mountain. It is definitely a great way to break up your day. While exploring the village, it is easy to be swept away in the atmosphere. The really great thing is that although the village is relatively small, it has an active nightlife.

Simply put, this is a wonderful choice for a skiing vacation. The proximity to the Vancouver airport and Vancouver itself, as well as the variety of accommodations options for every budget make this a resort and destination that is hard to match in terms of overall quality.
