A Strategic Way to Increase Your Profit in Your Video Business

To conveniently gain profit, you must think about packaging your video services to appear reliable and affordable even if you know that the rate is still within your standards as a videographer.

For example, when you show your clients the quote for your services, you will typically include shooting or editing the event and putting the video in a DVD or saving it as a long video that they will upload in the internet. Your client thinks that they will only get two materials for the video service they paid thousands of dollars for. They may have second thoughts about the investment they put in the services you provided.

Instead of selling it that way, enumerate that you are shooting the seminar and editing multiple files so they can have something new and fresh to upload to their website, Facebook page, Youtube page, etc. each week for several months.

You have shown them that their investment also includes a dozen or more copies of videos that they will be able to use as part of their marketing strategy in getting more customers for their business.

If you present twelve 5-minute videos that they pay $300 each for, you'll close a lot more deals than if you present it as (1) 60-minute video that they pay $3600 for.

However, once they notice that you charge $300 for each of those videos, they may ask if it's possible for them to get only six videos out of the twelve that you presented. In this scenario, just inform them that the rate is only available if you provide this specific package to them.

You can also give them lesser videos at a higher price so that you can still make more profit out of your package. Your quote should also cover the time that you shot the event and add this to the amount you will charge for your edit suite.

Lastly, during the proposal stage, it is important to show your clients that you have a high degree of understanding when it comes to driving traffic to websites and social media pages so that you can rise above any of your local competition. It will also place you on top of the list in case the same client needs video services for projects of the same form. This will lead to a more profitable and successful business.
