Hearing idiomatic expressions like feeling the weight in one's shoulder is common. The phrase means that the person is having some tough times. This could be due to financial issues, family problems, bad working relationships or others. These things happen to everyone and each has a story to tell. But some brave few are remarkably facing the challenges heads up. The true inspirational stories of others have wonderful lessons to impart.

Sharing one's story through a book is one way of helping change people's perspective. People get engrossed with anecdotes of how someone faced trials. Personal experiences are easier to relate to and people are likely to read them. There is a flood of books that tell about heartwarming experiences of triumph. The bigger challenge is getting someone to pick a book up from the shelves.

Not all books are made to be brainy or educational. Reading materials that share life experiences could be presented in a different manner. Authors could add some notes, quizzes or reflection guides to their books. Illustrations and pictures are also good additions. Photos or drawings could even make the book more enjoyable as they convey more messages. Books can be kept and returned to several times people live a fast-paced life nowadays.

But in this day and age of fast communication, information travels so fast. The disadvantage of this is the retention of the audience. It is likely that what has been read about this minute will be forgotten the next. Also, not everyone can slow down and read again. But keeping up with the fast-paced lifestyle of an audience is a consideration.

Audio books can be sold in place of hardbound pages. Not all people have weekends of reading to look forward to. The least they can do is just listen to what are written in the pages. While engaging in other tasks, they could just play the files in music players.

Anyone going through a hard time would also rather he listens to something than read. Words said out loud could give some sense of comfort. There is also that sense of having someone giving advice.

Books may come in different formats. Reading true inspirational stories can be more interesting with texts and pictures. Technology also offers easier access and allows listening to these anecdotes.
