When I was prepared to move to Florida because of my new job, the first thing I did was look into new homes for sale in Parkland. I had been working as a software programmer for a couple years and had done well and was praised for my skills, so I applied for an administrative position with a much higher salary. I got the new job, but as I said, it was in Florida, so I had a huge move across the country to plan for and deal with before I could get going.
I had thought about just renting a place and taking a long time to find a new house, but as I thought about this, the thought of moving again seemed to be less and less appealing. Eventually, I broke down and just did what I should have done in the first place, I called a realtor, told them my needs and asked them to plan some visits for me in a window of a few days when I would be there before my new job kicked in.
I was really pleased with how the trip went, as the realty team was absolutely wonderful and showed me some great houses that I had not seen on my own. They not only showed me some houses in Parkland, but they also showed me some marvelous homes for sale in Heron Bay, a great community that I hadn't known anything about, but it was only a few miles from where I would be working.
After this trip, I was able to decide which house I wanted and made an offer once I got home. We got a call before long and they informed us that we got the house, which worked out perfectly for us, as we were able to move just in time for me to start my new job, and everything was just coming up roses.
