By Catherine McCulloch

The best way to make sure that you keep the kids safe on cheap holidays, is to make sure you look before you book. The majority of people today purchase their holidays online, following a great deal of research into price comparison and late deal websites.

If you're not completely comfortable with keeping the kids safe on the beach, then Costa Dorada has the perfect alternative; the water park. There are a number of well known water parks in Costa Dorada including Aquapolis, Aqualeon and Port Aventura, where you will find both a safe and incredibly exciting atmosphere for the children to enjoy.

The Costa Dorada is one example of a destination that meets all of the above criteria. Try taking them to a water park in the area. Remember to pack lots of snacks, juice and of course to slap on the sun cream regularly. If you want to lounge by the pool for a bit and regain your strengths, the lifeguards on duty can take over and watch your children for you.

Those heading off to Costa Blanca this summer will know that it is one of the most popular areas in Spain for holiday makers. Known for its white sands and beautiful weather the area is a haven for those heading to relax on the beach however this means that it can get very crowded. As any parent knows, the busier it gets the harder it is to keep an eye on the kids so why not explore a little further afield in Costa Blanca?

Alternatively, head into the mountainous areas of Costa Blanca where you will find almond and date trees aplenty, as well as fortified villages and medieval towns that the children will just love to explore. The history of Costa Blanca is rich and great fun to explore for both you and the kids, giving you the chance to both keep them safe and spend some quality time with them.
