Gorgeous Winter Bridesmaid Dresses

Choosing the perfect bridesmaid dresses for a wedding is never an easy task. In the winter months, there is the added challenge of finding dresses which are not only beautiful, but are also seasonal. These are some ideas on gorgeous winter bridesmaid dresses for your wedding.

Even when they don't go looking for maternity bridesmaid dresses, pregnant women usually have a hard enough time finding anything that fits that's comfortable. If they only make designs of certain kinds for pregnant women, you'd probably have to think about finding matching outfits for your other bridesmaids too. Let's look at everything you need to consider before going with a dress for a pregnant mother-to-be.

With most bridesmaids, the choice of dress comes down entirely to what pleases the bride. That's not how it goes with a bridesmaid who's expecting though. The choice of dress needs to entirely revolves around how comfortable and functional and safe it is for her. It should be easy to sit and stand in, it shouldn't be fussy, and it certainly shouldn't be anything one can trip in.

For a very formal winter wedding around the holidays, consider dressing bridesmaids in classic silk taffeta ball skirts. The full skirts will look incredible as your attendants process down the aisle, while the lightness and movement of the taffeta will make the ball skirts easy to move in and comfortable to wear - not at all cumbersome.

Tissue taffeta is a fabric with a crisper hand than the chiffon, and it is also opaque, unlike the sheer chiffon. The tissue weight of taffeta is wonderful, because it retains some of the same crispness of regular taffeta, but its lighter weight allows it to be pleated and gathered without being bulky. It is a great choice for a bridesmaid dress when you want a gown that has a skirt which can hold a shape like a slim A-line. The taffeta would also be fantastic for a black tie wedding in the fall or winter, whereas the chiffon is best for warmer weather.
