Visit China For An Experience Of A Lifetime

By Richard Flederman

China in recent history has become the second most powerful economy in the world. With over $5.8 trillion in wealth and a strong industrial base the country overall has become a major player in the world economy. Despite stereotypes though the nation has a strong diversity in several aspects.

In total area China is one of the largest nations in the world with a total area of over 3.7 million miles. Mountains and deserts dominate the western part of the nation while hills and plains fill the eastern part of the country. In the south you have tropical heat while in the North there is snow and ice that rules the land.

The landscape of the country is mineral rich from one end to the other. The basics of iron, coal and steel are abundant for production and running the country. While for the future the country has one of the biggest stockpiles of rare earth minerals which are used in aerospace and high-tech manufacturing.

The country is also blessed with a wide biodiversity in plants and animals. Several types of plants and creatures live in the country including some unique to China like the Giant Panda. The nation in addition has at least a thousand variety of plants that exist nowhere else.

It would be no surprise to see that this land produces a range of crops and produce for its people and the world. China is the number one producer of rice and cotton in the world and a large producer of other crops such as corn and soybeans. This is matched by production in livestock and fish for use in the country and to export.

Population wise the country has over 1.3 billion people living in its boarders with around forty percent in the major cities. It is a relatively young population with the average age being around 35 years of age. There is at least 55 minority groups that are documented by the government. And seven major languages that are used by the citizens of this nation.

While the country is officially agnostic, there are five officially recognized religions within its boarders: The Buddhist, Taoist, Catholic, Protestant and Islamic faiths. Buddhist and Taoist beliefs are the most often held by its citizens. The other faiths though do have a presence especially with the growing Islamic faith in its boards.

Often people look at China as a single monolithic block without any differences. The truth is the opposite in that the country has a wide range of natural beauty and people with different views living in the country. There is a range of possibilities in the country that can be looked at and admired.
