What To Do After Your Baby Grows Out Of Their Newborn Baby Clothes

By Nan Bierquest

The arrival of a newborn is usually seen as a sign to suddenly go on a shopping spree to get them the best clothes, the best choice being affordable baby clothes. And everyone from the immediate, to the extended family, often rushes to get the best clothing out there for the bundle of joy. There's a problem with this, however, because eventually, the baby will outgrow those clothes, and when that happens, what must be done?

There are quite a number of options for these used clothes, ranging from practical ones, to even profitable ones! And the first, and most obvious choice, is to simply keep the clothes for future kids to use. This is a very reasonable option if the clothing are unisex, and if there's still plans for the husband and wife to have more kids soon.

The second option is to sell the used garments as cheap baby clothes, in garage sales, or maybe even in thrift stores. This option not only brings money back to be used by the family, but it can also solve the problem of storage, useful in small apartments and homes. And in addition to this, the clothes can be an alternative for families with a tight budget to get some good and decent clothing for their newborns, without having to shell out too much money.

Just remember, for both options, to make sure to take care of the clothing in order to not have them damaged for future use. Baby clothes have fabrics that are soft and comfortable, and most of these are also quite fragile. So make sure once the clothes have been outgrown, to keep them in a safe, dry, clean place, preferably in storage bags which will keep moisture, dust, and insects out.

Once your kids' clothing don't fit no more, remember, don't throw them away in the garbage! Keep them for your other kids, or try to sell them cheap to get some bucks in! This will extend your clothing investment further!
