Data erasure is to simply clear out data by using a software or program, normally a configured in house software under license of the data disposal companies.

Crushing is done by using a stand alone and portable equipment named hard disk crusher. This tool could erase disks and stored data in a fast and efficient way. The tool pierces the spindles, creating ripples that will prevent data recovery.

Degaussing means electromagnets are used to render it to unreadable state. This method is considered not 100% accurate and as such is usually followed by physical mutilation or by shredding. Crushing basically employs the use of transportable, stand alone machine called hard disk crusher. This machine could destroy disks and data stored in it in a very fast and efficient manner.
