The Challenges for Animation and Game

There are many opportunities for animation and game investment in our country. Experts forecast that the Chinese animation and game industry are big market of at least RMB 20 billion. It means the GDP will improve only by the animation and game field.

Only in Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou, the animation expenditure of the young people at the age of 13 to 30 amounts to RMB 1.3 billion. The animation and game industry can also lead to the development and the sale of product which derives from animation.

In 2004, the global industry output amounted to222.8 billion US dollars, while the relative product value of game and animation relative surpassed 500 billion US dollars. Looking from the whole world, the animation industry already becomes a huge industry.

The animation and game industry can improve all these industries. In matter of fact, I think it still has a huge development for our MMORPG game, as beautiful screen, 3D technology, and lovely story. China has five thousand history, and a lot of classical stories. Why don't we use them in our game and animation!

Every year, the American animation product value is more than 5billion US dollars; yearly turnover of Japanese animation surpasses 9 billion US dollar, which makes Japan the first in animation output. South Korea's animation output occupies 30% of the whole world, only second to America and Japan, and animation has become one of the six mainstays of South Korea.

However, Chinese animation and game only occupies 11% of the whole world. For MMORPG field, it is still a big number in the whole world, except China. I think we can believe that Chinese animation and game would become better better one day. Our younger generation are able to see real good and significative homemade cartoon and games. No violence! No sanguinary! No pornographic! I am full of hopeful for our own ACG (animation, comic and game)!
