The BVLGARI brand has been a popular choice with accessory shoppers since 1884. Epitomising classical luxury, you can find BVLGARI at home among some of the world's most expensive shopping destinations.

Sotirio Bulgari a Greek silversmith founded the company in the late 1800s, initially producing silver jewelry. To grow the brand, Bulgari enlisted the help of his two sons, Constantino and Giorgio. After World War II the sons decided to develop a new line of products, utilising different styles including Greco-Roman Classicism. This change in style led to BVLGARI becoming a real hit with the Hollywood elite.

After World War II, the sons decided to move away from the traditional silversmith jewelry and develop a line of jewelry inspired mainly by Greco-Roman Classicism. This line quickly became popular with the rich and famous launching BVLGARI as an international brand.

This new and innovative approach to jewelry meant that by the 1950's BVLGARI had grown from its flagship store in Via Condotti to a brand empire. In the 1970's new stores opened in Geneva, Monte Carlo, New York and Paris, cementing BVGLARIS place as an international retailer.

Shortly after its listing on the Milan Stock Exchange in 1995, BVLGARI expanded their business to include a wide range of high fashion accessories, including the introduction of BVLGARI glasses. These glasses were well-known for their high quality design and materials.

This expansion continued further in 2001 into the luxury hotel market. BVLGARI in partnership with Marriot Hotels opened their first luxury hotel in Milan in 2004. A second property was then opened in Bali shortly after.

BVLGARI today employs around 3800 staff around the world across 42 companies in 24 countries. These stores can be found in some of the world's most exclusive shopping centres. Today, the BVLGARI brand is not known just for its jewelry lines, but also for its popular perfume, skincare and accessories division. Jewelry currently accounts for 45% of revenue, with watches and accessories close behind. The most stringent Swiss standards are used to test all BVLGARI products.
